Introduction
QRHooks makes QR codes you can edit after printing. Every scan is recorded and can call a webhook on your server.
A code encodes a short link such as https://your-domain/s/abc123. Scanning it records the scan, fires any webhooks on the code, and then sends the scanner to the destination. Change the destination later and the printed code keeps working.
Next: create your first code.
What you can make
There are 28 code types. These are the common ones:
| Type | What a scan does |
|---|---|
| URL | Redirects to the link |
| Lead capture, RSVP | Shows a form and stores the answers |
| Menu, event page, markdown page | Shows a hosted page |
| App smart link | Sends iOS and Android to their stores and everything else to a web page |
| PDF, image gallery | Shows files you uploaded |
| Wi-Fi, vCard | Shows the details with a way to save them |
What counts as a scan
Link-preview crawlers, monitoring tools, browser prefetches and HEAD requests still get the redirect, but they aren't recorded. They don't add to the scan count and they don't fire webhooks.
